Cancer Prevention and Therapy Team

In the first semester of 2012, our program established the "Colorectal Cancer Prevention and Treatment Research Team" with the goal of pioneering innovative approaches to combat colorectal cancer. Over the subsequent years, our dedicated faculty members collaborated with investigators from various institutes, forming a series of research teams specializing in different types of cancers, such as pancreatic, oral, and prostate cancer. By leveraging the synergy of cross-disciplinary research resources and expertise, including molecular cancer biology, single-cell RNA-sequencing, multi-Omics-based target identification, disease animal models, systems biology, translational medicine, and preventive medicine, these collaborative efforts have led to the development of advanced therapeutics, increased international recognition, and enhanced academic impact.

Furthermore, our research teams have received grants from TMU, NSTC, NHRI, and funding from "Wan-Fang Hospital, Chi-Mei Medical Center, and Hualien Tzu-Chi Hospital Join Cancer Center Grant-Focus on Colon Cancer Research." As a result, we are fully dedicated to cultivating quantitative research as one of TMU's distinguishing characteristics.
